Couples Therapy (50min session)

Why choose couples therapy?

Couples counselling offers a safe, trauma-informed space for partners who feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward together. Sometimes we live under the same roof but feel miles apart.

When Relationships Start to Feel Difficult

Life as a couple isn’t always easy. Love that once felt effortless can become tangled in breaches of trust, infidelity, illness, grief, intimacy struggles, or ongoing conflict around money, parenting and everyday life. These challenges can shake the foundation of your relationship and leave you feeling lost, alone, or unsure whether you can find your way back to each other.

If you feel like you’re drifting apart or the closeness you once shared feels distant, you don’t have to face this alone.

What Is Couples Therapy and how can it help?

Maintaining a strong relationship isn’t easy. In today’s world, couples are expected to be best friends, communicate openly, nurture intimacy, and raise children, often while juggling work, stress and daily pressures. Somewhere along the way, the connection between partners can begin to fade.

Couples counselling provides a supportive space to understand what’s happening and begin repairing the relationship together. We explore communication patterns, emotional reactions and unresolved conflict, helping partners strengthen friendship, manage disagreements more constructively and rebuild intimacy and respect.

How Couples Therapy Work?

In the first sessions, I will get to know you both, individually and as a couple, to understand your relationship story and dynamics. We’ll explore how you communicate, how you handle stress or disagreement, and what your hopes are moving forward.

Together we set clear goals for therapy based on your needs.

My Approach

I use evidence-based tools from the Gottman Method and psychosexual therapy, drawing on training in Gottman Couples Therapy and ATSIP Psychosexual Therapy. These approaches support trust, communication, intimacy and emotional connection.

Through practical exercises such as the Sound Relationship House framework and structured dialogue, couples learn skills to build a stronger and more resilient relationship.
